August Newsletter: A Busy Month of School and Fun in D.C.
Hey guys, long time no see! Welcome to my August newsletter! It's been a whirlwind of a month, and I’ve got so much to share.
To kick things off, I officially started school at George Mason University. Between getting back into the groove of studying and keeping up with assignments, it’s been a hectic month. Schoolwork, as we all know, can sometimes be overwhelming, but I’m adjusting to the routine.
To manage some of that stress—and to help with my autoimmune condition—I’ve been making it a point to enjoy a little downtime. One of my favorite escapes is attending the DC Influence events, where I can relax and recharge.
One highlight of August was attending the *Tea Around Town* event with my good friend Loni. This unique experience takes you on a tour around D.C., where you get to sip on a variety of teas and enjoy delicious mini snacks. Along the way, they stop at many historic sites, and there’s live entertainment to keep things lively. If you're new to D.C., I *highly* recommend checking out this tour—it’s a perfect way to explore the city and unwind at the same time.
I also had the chance to attend an Aerie event in Georgetown, where they hosted a yoga session. It was such a calming experience, and after all the schoolwork, it was just what I needed!
That pretty much sums up my August—full of school, relaxation, and some fun moments in between. Thanks for catching up with me, and I’ll see you next time for September’s newsletter!
Until then, take care! 😊
XOXO,
Cayla Spring
